I'm a fan. Got a bright stainless Colt "Custom" Government Model and a Springfield Mil-Spec also. Had a RIA but traded it for more 38 Super ammo after getting the Springfield. I also have Colt 38 Super Commander project too, still collecting parts for it.
That seems about right for the conversion stuff. But wouldn't it be cheaper to buy one already in 9mm? Unless you really plan on getting into 38 Super later.

I have a Mil-Spec and my father has a PT1911. For all the extras that you get, the Taurus is a good value for the money. Since you already modified a Mil-Spec before. Do you want another with the a beavertail etc? I went with the Mil-Spec because of the plain looks (don't care for front slide...
Any Browning marked HP is going to made by FN. So no difference in quality.
With the SFS kit installed it will be at a half-cock with the safety on. Disengage the safety the hammer goes to a full cock.
I found no difference in trigger pull between mine with the SFS kit and my standard...
Thanks for your help. Yes it's DAO, it won't hold back into single action. I plan on leaving it like that. Got the Model 10 and a 586 I can use for SA.
Once I get some replacement grips for the Model 10, I'll start a thread and post a video link.

I know what you mean. I generally like shooting by myself so I can be more lax. But it is an easy way to pick up bad habits. If I am shooting with someone else, I'm well aware of my muzzle.
My first few shots you can see I re-tighten my grip (just the ends of my fingers) and then I'm...
While I guess I should be more aware of my muzzle. I'm completely surrounded by woods and nobody else is there but me. The camera is on a tripod. If someone else was doing the filming, I wouldn't have pointed towards them.
Since the gun was used, I figured it needed a spring change, I didn't think an 18 lb spring would cause problems.
No I haven't removed or cleaned the extractor lately. I'll do a detail clean tomorrow.
Thanks for the help guys.
I have Springfield Loaded I purchased several months ago. Overall it has been a good shooting gun. Today when I had it out it stovepiped on me twice. The cases were beat to hell when it did it. Ammo is WWB, bought it about a week ago. It had this same problem the last time I had it out...
