Forbes: Why 3D-Printed Untraceable Guns Could Be Good For America

THR readers might enjoy my latest in Forbes: "Why 3D-Printed Untraceable Guns Could Be Good For America" In particular, I argue that: "Wilson’s innovation could thus spark a much-needed re-examination of American gun laws, including the current paradigm of imposing ever-increasing...

‘Carrying a Gun Saved My Life’: Meet Ryan Moore

I interviewed Ryan Moore for PJMedia.com on his real-life self-defense story, what he learned from it, and why he opposes proposed new gun control laws. ‘Carrying a Gun Saved My Life’: Meet Ryan Moore

Forbes: "Why Doctors Should Not Ask Their Patients About Guns"

Yes, excellent points RTR_RTR! If there is a specific concern about a patient, then doctors should inquire. (But then, the inquiry shouldn't be primarily about the gun but about dangers posed by any deadly implement.) I do like the generic "discussed safe practices" record in the chart.

ABC News interested in handgun use for self-defense

Stossel has also written a good article entitled, "Myths About Gun Control": http://realclearpolitics.com/Commentary/com-10_19_05_JS.html He covers some of the basic facts about CCW and also debunks the myths about the US-vs.-Miller Supreme Court case.

ABC News interested in handgun use for self-defense

[This could provide some much-needed balance to the usual anti-gun hysteria seen on national TV. -- PSH] =========================================== http://www.abcnews.go.com/2020/story?id=3015150 "Gun Used In Self-Defense? Tell '20/20'!" "April 6, 2007 — Have you ever defended...

    Pocket holster for J-frame

I like the Safariland 25 pocket holster http://www.safariland.com/products.asp?id=27 I saw it recommended in an article by Massad Ayoob. It's very thin and lightweight, but remains open to allow easy reholstering. And the surface has a suede-like texture so that it remains in the pocket...

Did early SW 686's come with 2.5-inch barrels?

I have the chance to purchase a used S&W 686 (no dash, no "M") revolver, with a 2.5 inch barrel. I dimly recall reading somewhere that the 2.5 inch barrel wasn't an option until some of the later models, but I don't recall the source. Is this correct? Or is it possible that the 2.5 inch...

    S&W Revolver Adjustable Night Sights???

Another source I bought a set of Meprolights for a S&W K-frame at Arizona Gun Runners and have been very satisified: http://arizonagunrunners.com/Products/HescoMeprolight/hescomeprolight.html (5th item down from the top).

    Kframe question(not the usual)

The K-frame "endurance package" was supposedly added in 1988 I saw on a related thread from the old TheFiringLine.com, that S&W added an "endurance package" to K-frames back in 1988. Here are a couple of quoted paragraphs from user "Lone Star": "In about 1988, S&W added an 'endurance...

    S&W model 64 chambered in .357?

A friend is offering to sell me his old S&W model 64 (stainless, fixed sights, 4-inch barrel). What's interesting is that it says ".357 magnum" on the barrel, and the cylinder accepts .357 cartridges without a problem, yet when I open the cylinder, the model number is clearly engraved as a...

    Good IWB holster for a S&W 640?

I like the C-TAC kydex holster from Comp-Tac. It can be worn as a regular IWB or one can tuck one's shirt over it for concealment without a jacket. Although it's a litte bit more expensive, I've found it to be the most comfortable of the "tuckable" holsters I've tried: Comp-Tac C-TAC hoster
