I have the sizing issues under control. It's just that in the books, they list the service rifle as the M1A, and they have different issues that the AR's do. I heard that you can use the regular bolt action loads on the AR's because their gas systems aren't as sensitive to the burn rates.
So do I need to use the service rifle loading info with this or can I use standard recipes? I know that the M1A's are finicky and that's why they list separate data for it. Just curious.
did you look up all of the subtitles to the law? There is an exception in there that states when involved in and outdoor activity. The county Sheriff told me this when I went to apply for a concealed weapons permit, he said I really didn't need one in the state of Montana.
I always thought the cartridge was hampered by a lack of appropriate bullets. most of the bullets on the market are intended for the 8mm Mauser and just aren't going to cut it 500 fps faster. What the 8mm Rem Mag needs is a selection of 200+ gr controlled expansion hunting bullets. Think about a...
I suppose we've all seen the video of the DEA agent presenting in front of a classroom when he shoots himself in the foot literally seconds after proclaiming he "was the only one in the room professional enough to handle" his issued .40 caliber Glock. While I suppose no one is perfect and even...
If you're doing the conversion on a M700 BDL, the action length will be the same and won't be a problem. Remington only makes two actions lengths--short and long--and the long action handles everything from the .30-06 family all the way up to the Ultra Mags, albeit with different bolt faces. The...
If you're comparing apples to apples, you need to use that same weight of everything. I guarantee you different results if you use same bullet weights and design.
I was able to look at the mag for him and got the spring turned around and now it does take 8 rnds. Also the other mag does stick a little on the last round didn't have time to play with that one much.
MTMilitiaman, just one question, what about the penetration through the walls? You do live in a neighborhood. You might want to consider the over penetration and grab the other pistol instead of the ak.
MTMilitiaman is my son and he's talking about my mini-14. It's nice for what it's designed for. It is very accurate and I have never had any problems with it. So even his brother says they're surprised of how accurate it is out to 200 yds. Just my 2 cents worth.
I know but the problem is to decide on a starting point. I found some 647 gr loads but not much over 800. So if I have a 800 gr load then how much do I back off safely for the 822.
I recently acquired some 822 and 639 gr military pulled bullets and need load info for them. Can someone point me in the right direction please thanks.
