Do you perform scheduled part changes on your 870?

I've had one of my 870's for 55 years . Never broken a part . It still works perfectly , every thing is polished in to each other . The only parts I'm personally aware of failing were due to shade tree gunsmithing , although I'm sure their have been failures somewhere . [murphy's law]...

    Browning BSS

I had two 12 ga. that I bought early on . They were $200.00 each . They were a 26" & a 28" barrel length , I really liked them . I recently found a new in the box 20 ga 26" . It followed me home ,I love it also. In my opinion they are very nice shooting guns , but I wouldn't buy one for duty as...

    Powers for 44spl and 44mag

Poor fellow all that time at the range might rot your brain . Anyway I like unique for light to medium lead bullet loads & WW 296 or H 110 for heavy jacketed loads . But truth to tell I've killed several white tails w / 245 keith style lead [ cast hard ] & a healthy charge of unique . All one...

Marlin 1894 .44 mag accuracy issues

I used to have a marlin 44 mag w/ microgroove rifleing . It didn't like any of the lead bullet loads I tried , but did shoot 4" 100 yd. groups w/ hornady 200 gr. jacketed h.p.'s .

    Dead peoples reloaded ammo.

I had a friend many years ago who was quite paranoid . His fear was that his house would be burglarized & someone would steal his goodies . His solution was to intentionally over load a couple of boxes of 38 special ammo with all the bullseye powder he could get in the case under a heavy bullet...

    Strange coyote behavior?

I live in rural ok. . One night while calling my boston terrier back into the house I saw that he was under attack by three coyotes . There was one on each end streching him out & one chomping on him in the middle . They were about 75 ' from the porch . I yelled at them & they released my dog ...

"What Gun Were You The Most Disappointed With?" Redux

I was disapointed w/ a Ruger LCR in 22 mag . After all the hype about the great trigger pull on lcr's , mine was hard to pull [rimfire] & the angle of my grip [large hands] left me pulling the trigger w/ the side of my index finger. Sold it , bought a round butt chief S&W . I'm happy.
