There was an old thread about this more than 11 years ago. I thought it might be time to revive the topic.

For me, S&W M&P Bodyguard Crimson Trace. I was in the market for a .380 pocket gun, and loved the way they integrated the laser. I was really excited about it at first, but I ended up hating the trigger—second worst I've ever owned (my Taurus PT22 is slightly worse). My wife eventually gave me a Taurus TCP .380 that I am perfectly happy with, and I traded the Bodyguard in at my LGS toward an NAA Black Widow (which is one of my favorite guns).

How many posts before a mention of a Modina or AMT Hardballer?

My biggest was a CZ 452. After years of reading about how they were the best shooting 22s out of the box I found it to be worse than the Savage I also had. That is to say it shot nearly twice as bad. So still sub MOA at 100.:D

Handgun: Definitely the Sig Mosquito.

Well, the worst gun I ever had was a Walther P22. I don't think It ever emptied a whole magazine without a failure of some kind and it wasn't one constant problem that I couldn't seem to get fixed. It was a new problem almost every time it got shot, I finally gave up and sold it for a nice $150 loss. It was just total junk.

I was also pretty disappointed in the LCP just because I expected a higher quality gun, but at least it goes bang when the trigger is pulled. Just feels like a cheap made gun, my expectations may have just been to high due to all the hype when it came out.

I just can't remember ever having been disappointed with any sixgun I ever bought. Every gun I've owned shot much better than I can hold, and popped the cap every time the hammer fell.

Now, as a kid, some of my home made guns blew, until I learned the difference between steel and copper pipe.

KIMBER Rimfire Target. An expensive POS of the first water. BUT...what should one expect from the Bernie Madoff of the gun industry ?
My favorite description of Kimber: "Kimber's the hot girl at the party who's a bit too aware she's pretty."

3-year old (recent make) Charter Arms Mag Pug. Have commented on it before. A POS. Replaced it with a SP101 snubbie.

I won't get rid of it but...

I was disappointed in my Hardballer Longlide. I've been happy with so many other AMTs and Auto-Mags that when I finally had a chance to buy an off-the-shelf alternative to James Cann's long-slide in "Thief"... I jumped without really looking at them much.

Poor fit, springs from Ace Hardware, crooked sights, a serial number looking like it was done by a "stoner" in shop class, inexplicable points of hammer drag upon release but at least it's inaccurate.

Fortunately, it was a cheap buy-in for the novelty, has proven reliable in function if not POI and it deflects some of the derision that friends would normally heap upon its cousin - shown here as well.

Rifle: AK47. It was a single shot as it came. It took three trips back to get it right. Also generally disappointed in the apparent quality compared to rifles built for similar purposes.

Handgun: Glock 17. Couldn't point shoot it and it was not at all smooth in recoil. I understand those things are what a person must learn to work around to appreciate a Glock. I got no time for that.

Shotgun: A single barrel H&R youth 20 gauge. I remember being excited I was finally going to be able to reach up to those squirrels I couldn't get with my .410. After it bloodied my nose a few times I went back to the .410 until I was big enough for a 12 gauge.

Only 1 in all these years....The arcus 98dac. Has a trigger that is too short length wise and has a weird curve to it and trigger bites super hard. It's not a bad pull in weight but the design of the curve of it make it impossible to not get my trigger finger bit and hard. Plus the horrible beaver tail.......makes it impossible to get a high enough proper grip. Makes no sense to me.....but live and learn.....when buying things sight unseen. Still got it and still get finger bit every pull of the trigger. One day I'll take it to the gunsmith and have him see what can be done...same with the gawd awful downward beaver tail. Then it might be a decent gun.

FNP45. Had to replace all my mag springs after only a few hundred rounds. Never would feed reliably.

One Glock 17 and three Glock 19s. None were reliable with 115-gr. hardball.

Oh, and a S&W Model 41. Expensive, beautiful gun, jam jam jam.

Easy....SIG Mosquito, absolute junk. Its best use is to hammer nails as it surely cannot be considered a firearm.

Calico Arms 9mm carbine.
Unless I used +P ammunition it would triple (bangbangbang) and then jam on the fourth round. The fifty and one hundred round helical magazines were a great idea marred by a not quite ready for prime time execution.

I traded it for a G23.

Springfield P9C sub compact in 40 S&W. It would shoot ok but would shoot itself to pieces in short order.

Then it was orphaned by Springfield.

I have yet to try a laser sight that I thought was worth anything and that includes a Crimson Trace. One of these days I learn and stop buying them.:)

I have owned over 50 firearms at one time or another.

My SIG Mosquito is by far the worst. I was excited to get a brand-new SIG. I should have read the reviews.

Massive disappointments in 2 different gp100s. Both functioned flawlessly but were slightly worse than abhorable on accuracy but we it oversized bore in one and chattered barrel in the other it's easy to see why. I know I got lemons but it ruined me to the gp100 and I won't consider an sp101 either now.

I was disapointed w/ a Ruger LCR in 22 mag . After all the hype about the great trigger pull on lcr's , mine was hard to pull [rimfire] & the angle of my grip [large hands] left me pulling the trigger w/ the side of my index finger. Sold it , bought a round butt chief S&W . I'm happy.

Glock 22 for me. Total waste of money. It wasn't as reliable as my BHP nor could I shoot it was well. But that probably had less to do with the intrinsic accuracy of the gun and more to do with the crappy trigger and grip. I can't bag on it much, it was probably simply a case of it being a poor match for.

Really I have had pretty good luck with guns. I've never had a total lemon...not yet at least.

Browning Hi-Power-T Series model where beauty was only skin deep; incredibly heavy trigger pull, thumb safety that required a few hits from a mallet to move it on and off, and Minute of Barn accuracy.

Charter Arms Undercover-Early model that was literally coming apart after shooting one box of 148 gr. wadcutters. Frame pins were coming out and the cylinder crane screw was backing out of the frame.

Early mod S&W Sigma, Had the impossible trigger and would not feed Hydra Shocks. Went back to Smith twice. They did not remedy problems. Finally gave up and traded it off! Haven't bought a Smith since then.Really, this is the only bummer that I have ever had.
