Have you ever bought a gun online?

I've been thinking about it several times, but my local FFL has prices equal or close to the lowest prices I can find online, and I can see the gun before I actually buy it. So far I've always ended up buying my guns locally.

    Biggest handgun delight! Exceeding expectations?!

Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum - so much easier to shoot than expected, awesome revolver :)

Why hasn't the market for a good disposable gun been filled?

Wouldn't it be best for people to practice with their defense gun? (Or any gun, for that matter.) With a disposable gun, you'd have to throw it away after the first rounds of practice, so then it's quite useless for its purpose, I'd think. Edit: Ah, Ragnar just beat me! Nevermind this post then.

    Concealed Carry

Here is a recent thread on the LCR: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=555804 Personally, I would prefer something slightly larger and a bit heavier (putting shootability over carryability), like the Ruger SP101, but since you indicate you're looking for light weight I guess the...

    Which Henry .22 For Xmas?

I would go for the upgraded version too. The octagon barrel looks really neat :) The only safety (on the golden boy anyway) is the hammer at half-cock, so that shouldn't make a difference for being right or left handed. I can't think of anything else that would make it inconvenient for leftys...

    Help making a quality holster.

http://unblinkingeye.com/Guns/Holsters/BH01/bh01.html This link has been a great help to me, making my first pancake holster a few months ago. It discusses all the steps with all the tools. You can choose to work with fewer tools (or more basic tools, like a normal knife, instead of a fancy...

    Dicks Store Policy Sucks

About a year ago I went to Dick's for the first time, browsing around for a lever action rifle. They had no idea what a lever action was, including the employee who "knows about guns" :banghead: I stick to proper FFLs...

    Stoeger SxS customer service?

    I would hope so ;)

    Stoeger SxS customer service?

I've been thinking about buying a SxS shotgun next year, and I'm considering a Stoeger. I've heard mixed reviews on the guns (mostly good, but quite a few negative ones too), so in making my decision I'd like to know about their customer service, in the case there's a problem with one of their...

Reduced power factory 44 mag loads?

The UltraMax cowboy loads rcmodel suggested seem pretty affordable at Midway: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=198619 Ten-X seem to have similar rounds, also around 750 fps: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=954653 Haven't been able to find anything...

    SP-101 Durability

I've heard about that several times, but my SP101, which I bought earlier this year, has the nicest feeling trigger on any revolver I've ever held (I'm talking about the actual trigger, not necessarily the trigger pull, although I have absolutely no complaints about that either). Very nicely...

    .357 Snubbie suggestions

I got my 2.25" SP101 at a local gun shop for $460, brand new.

    Self defense in college

I would go with the little folding knife I received from the NRA recently when I became a member. It's a 2.5" blade, wouldn't look suspicious in any way (in my opinion at least), and, most importantly, it has a sharp point, unlike most Swiss Army pocket knives I've seen, which have a rather dull...

    .357 Snubbie suggestions

Another vote for the Ruger SP101 here. Some may say it's on the heavy side for a snub, but I think it's the perfect match between not too heavy to carry and not so light that it would make shooting it unpleasant. It's my favorite handgun, reliable strong as a bank vault :)

    new Hickok45 video boys!

Same here! I love my Henry .22, and I'm looking forward to buying a rifle caliber lever action next year. A Browning like that would be awesome :D
