Mine is inside. Spare bedroom in my townhouse. Only problem is that my bench isn't as solid as I'd like. Bolting it to the wall would do the trick, but I rent so I've decided against it.
wuchak- I don't know if there are reloadable steel cases in .40sw, but there are some in 45acp. Wolf 45acp is boxer primed. I've reloaded them after inspecting carefully. I haven't tried more than on reload, but I know that people have.
Those pictures posted by Mike show what I'm seeing. The Wolf example looks exactly like mine do. I shot some factory ammo and didn't see the same thing, so between that and the advice of some uninformed 'experts' I thought I had a problem.

Guys, I need some expert advice on how to proceed with some 45acp loads. I loaded and tested these months ago, but just now I'm getting some time to mess with the 45acp handloads again. The loads were as follows:
230 gr Rainier plated round nose
Wolf primers
4.0 gr Titegroup

No. I've never had a CMMG lower, and I'm sure they're fine. But so is the Doublestar, which I do own. So why spend more money for the same thing?
FWIW, I really like the lowers from Spike's Tactical.
There is one huge reason why I prefer DD and Larue over others. The cross section of their handguards is smaller. I just can't stand the 'fat' handguards. There is also some difference in the quality and weight. Also, Larue rails and some of DD's offerings have a built in QR sling...
They have some issues with their assembly, and some of the parts they use are questionable. My experience with their customer service has been spotty as well. Personally, I'd say they're fine for a range gun but not something I'd depend on out of the box. That said, if the purpose of the gun...
