Who makes this rifle? If its a Century I would be a little leery.

Crap that's very close to my serial number. :uhoh: On HK Pro there is a thread about the US made bolt heads. There was some speculation that TB was making the threads. Then someone said they were at the PTR factory and saw PTR making their own bolt heads.

There was a thread on another forum about the bolt heads not being HK anymore. What range is your serial number?

I think you are going to need that flash suppressor for the bayonet.

I paid $1040 for mine shipped at Buds the only other thing to pay would be ffl transfer fees. My only complaint from the dealer was it took him almost ten days to ship it. I understand the dealer usually ships much faster than that. For a little over $100 more I would rather have the post ban...

I picked up my PTR today. I haven't shot it but the fit and finish is amazing. It looks better than my friends HK. Hopefully it functions as well as it looks.

This was why I went with the PTR. Lots of good info on these forums.

How about longevity? Does the roller delayed blowback have more or less wear?

Anyone care to comment? Seems that even HK is moving away from this design. What are the advantages and disadvantages?

I probably should have. I actually did some reading on here before I ordered. It wasn't until I pulled the trigger that I found some threads on other forums about the issues.

I ordered a PTR-91. Hopefully my FFL will have it this week. I have since seen posts on problems with the PTR. Specifically FTE and head spacing gaps closing very quickly. Did I screw up? Has PTR corrected the known issues in recent models? I suppose I wont know for sure til she gets...
