Moving from WA to HI - what do i need to know?

I was stationed there between 2004-2007. No hicap pistol mags or assault pistols. Most NFA weapons are banned. Some destructive devices like grenade launchers and large bore rifles are ok per the law, but I didn't hear of anyone with them. Registration is required for all firearms and is...

Your not carrying now are you???

Not carrying until I get back to the States. Pistols have been outlawed for years here in Japan. Heck, you can't even carry a knife that has a blade over 2 inches long, since it's classified as a sword.

Former Sheriff Deputy Advising Carrying on Empty Chamber

I agree that carrying with an empty chamber defies logic. Every time I've requalified with the Beretta M9 over the last 17 years, my Air Force instructors tell us to carry a round in the chamber with the safety off. That way, as soon as you pull your weapon and immediately you point the weapon...

    Moving to Az pretty soon.

Can't say I've been to that part, but I did live three years in Glendale while stationed at Luke AFB from 2000-2003. Open carry was great, however, I only saw it once or twice and I only carried concealed. When I applied for my concealed carry permit, I mailed it out on a Monday and received...

Who has flown with a handgun?

I've flown at least a dozen of times with a handgun. Just make sure you declare it when you check in. They will give you an orange tag to fill out and place with the handgun. Just make sure the gun is unloaded and already packaged in a lockable case. I've also traveled with a submachine gun...

    CLEO signoff elimination going forward

So those of us that have family corps have to waste all kinds of time getting our family members photographed and fingerprinted every time we want to buy a NFA item? That's BS that I have to waste my time doing this. I'm active duty overseas and what if me and my brother are deployed at the...

Phil's done some great work for me when I was stationed right down the road at Shaw AFB. The M92 Krikov SBR he built for me while I was in Afghanistan always gets looks at the range.

    Shipping a gun to HI

When I was stationed there, I used Ready on the Right in Kaneohe. Back in 2007, he was the cheapest for FFL transfers at $26.50 Magnum Firearms charges $100 or 10% of the value of the gun. Young Guns charged about $75

    Guns in The Dark Knight

The swat teams had either MP-5A2's or MP-5A4's. Additionally during the fund raiser party Bruce Wayne threw for Harvey Dent, one of the Joker's goons had a Beretta PM-12S submachine gun.
