I meant the base of my thumb, not revolver.

Will standard 605 grips fit this revolver? The factory rubber grips are killing the base of my revolver.

Well, they fit but will not cycle. Can't believe I did not check the mag. Now the hunt for a mag, I know they are not cheap.

Just picked up this..40 caliber pistol today. I don't know how I missed this, but the mag says Sig Pro 9mm. Well I grabbed some .40 ammo, and it fits in the mag just fine. I did the same with some 9mm, and it fits also. Strange, does the 2022 have some kind of a universal mag or what??

Well, digging through my junk , I found one of those tobacco tin cleaning kits. The lid is marked RG 57. Guess I had an AK cleaning kit all these years, and never knew what I had.

Well, my SKS's have the rods and trapdoor cleaning kits. Since my rifle has no hole for the cleaning rod, and is an underfolder, none of this will happen. Just thought it would be cool to have the same for my AKMS, but I am dot going to trill a hole in my rifle for a cleaning rod I do not have.

Great picture! That confirms that I have no bayonet lug. Bummer. Now to find a cleaning kit, hopefully a little less expensive than an Otis.

I believe the lug is present, under the rear sight, as shown in ben ezra's picture. What should I look for as a cleaning kit ? Is there a soviet pull through, or something else to look for. Maybe the lug under the rear sight is not a bayonet lug. My bayonet is it the shed, somewhere, to test fit.

As we have what we have, what would be the "correct" military cleaning kit for this rifle?

Sorry, it is a AKMS. The bottom of the gas tube is flat, as best to describe it, without any place for a hole for the rod to slide into. Good thing I did not order a rod, and find out there is no place for it.

Not sure what to look for as the sight and block. It is an underfolder with plastic furniture. I am new to the AK, have a lot to learn. Wish I was pc literate to post pictures.

My WASR did not come with a cleaning rod. On closer examination, there is no hole on the rifle to install one. Is this common? Do I need to drill out a hole? Just wondering...
