SIG 2022 mag question

Just picked up this..40 caliber pistol today. I don't know how I missed this, but the mag says Sig Pro 9mm. Well I grabbed some .40 ammo, and it fits in the mag just fine. I did the same with some 9mm, and it fits also. Strange, does the 2022 have some kind of a universal mag or what??

Only way to find out it's to go run some rounds thru it and see how it feeds. I think the feed lips are a bit wider on the 40. I have the SP2022 in 9mm, my mags say 9mm.

Well, they fit but will not cycle. Can't believe I did not check the mag. Now the hunt for a mag, I know they are not cheap.
