First gun for carry...PPS or G26

I must be a fat person crammed into a skinny persons body (somehow!?). I couldn't stand carrying a G26, but I really don't mind carrying a PF-9. That being said, buy the PPS. It's such a nice little gun!

Battle of the .40 cal. carbines... Kel-Tec SUB vs. Hi-Point Carbine!!!

There are 15 round promags for the hi-point (9mm), haven't saw one for the 40. I chose the hi-point simply for the price and availability in my area. There's also a decent aftermarket for the hi-point.

    Never owned a shotgun...

Since you're getting a 2nd barrel it seems like a decent price. Look to see if that 28" barrel is one with interchangeable chokes, and which chokes it comes with. That would make the deal even better for you.

    Coyote/Deer caliber?

If it's just coyote predator control, you don't have to worry too much about hide damage. Go with a larger caliber, .30-06 / .308 would be my first choices. It's plenty enough for deer.

Would you buy a used mossberg 500?

I have bought a used Mossberg 500 and it was one of the best gun purchases I have ever made. It was my first shotgun and I still have it! Yes, I would buy a used 500, and recommend you do the same.

How is everybody's white-tailed deer season going?

I've been 15+ times for 3-4 hours each time. Saw around 25 of them (3 bucks). Only a couple within shooting range (crossbow). I'll get one this year!

How many rounds through your PF9?

I have ~2000 rounds through my PF-9, I've owned it a little over two years. Less than 20 124gr. PDX +P ammo, ~100ish hollow points, and the rest is all win/fed/remington 115gr FMJ. I've replaced the old plastic mag release with the new steel one, and I replaced a chipped assembly pin, but...
