I'm worried oil or grease will stain, as the satin nickel seems to be almost porous and oil would soak into the finish. For now I'm keeping them wiped down until I get more information. Thank's for all the compliments.

A question on the satin nickel finish. Is it safe to use rig grease on the satin nickel?.. If not, what can I use to protect the finish.

Baba Louie Both revolvers are to be safe queens, never to be fired by me. As for the .41 LC Ammo. I have collected it for several years, plus reloading it for my collection of Army Specials in .41 LC.

BCrider The finish is a satin nickel. My pics wash the color out due to bright lights. The finish is darker then the pics indicate. Here are some pics when both revolvers were in the white prior to the satin nickel finish.

These Colts are just back from the engraver. They are a 1917 and an Army Special in .41 Long Colt which has been Fitzed. This ends an almost three year project. Some additional mechanical work will need to be done by Dave Chicoine in the future.

.72 Kodiak at the range...1st time out!

tarawa Prior to getting the Brooks mould, I used .715 size Rush Creek Roundballs with a prelubed .015 patch with good effect, taking a few deer with that combination. Talking with other people who have the .72 caliber Kodiak, we noted that bore size seems to vary from gun to gun. I sent my...
