Any Mossberg fans here. This is my model 35 after restoration. The model 35 was only made for two or three years in the 1930's. A real tack driver single shot heavy barrel rifle. You don't see many, Im lucky enough to have two.
Very nicely done! I have a Mossberg 146 B-A that gets shots quite a bit and have owned several others over the years. Extremely good shooting .22 rifles! Collector pricing is making them a lot more unaffordable in the last several years.
Mossbergs have been going up in cost the last several years thanks to sites like gunbroker and auctionarms. Lot's of people are finding out what a great rifle the Mossbergs can be. The walnut stocks on some models can be real nice, matching much more expensive rifles of the same era.
Stoney, i have only recently become a mossberg fan; I was recently given a Mossberg Model 34 bolt-action single-shot .22 rifle. In researching this rifle, and shooting it, i have come to appreciate the old Mossbergs.
My only issue right now is trying to locate a firing pin/ striker assembly... Mine is cracked.
This is the rifle... no plans to refinish it, i like it the way it is. But now i want to get another to one to try my hand at restoring.
If Havlin does not have your a firing pin/ striker assembly... yon may need to find a parts gun. Keep in there, I'm sure you will find it some day, that beavertail stock is a classic. Try these guy's at the mossberg forum at rimfire central, they are the mossberg experts.
