Rail attachment that doesn't exist, but should?

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. I'll be sitting down with my group in the next day or two to evaluate them and narrow it down. I'm just one of 6 people in the group so we may not end up doing any of them if the others aren't interested, but I wanted to have a good list from fellow...

Rail attachment that doesn't exist, but should?

I'd be inclined to agree with you, but companies like Magpul keep coming out with stuff that everyone has to have. There's got to be something. We're not required to actually market and sell the product, but we are supposed to produce a working prototype that could be produced. I already have...

Rail attachment that doesn't exist, but should?

Hey guys, I just started my final undergrad semester of mechanical engineering and have to do a capstone project in which I design and build a novel product. Given how universal rails are, I'm interested in designing a new rail attachment that would fulfill a need and be marketable. So...

    On police searches of cars

So I heard a presentation by a police officer the other day on 4th Amendment rights concerning seraches/seizures. Talking about how if a cop asks to search your car/bag/etc. you can say no and he can't force you to let him look. We all know that. One thing I hadn't heard before, is that in...

    Review: Erik's Afghan WASR

The third and final picture of a 'stock' WASR-10 in your video is mine. I don't mind that you use it. All I ask is for a free rifle like the one you have made. JK... guess it means I did something right when taking pictures. Your rifle looks great.

Does your WASR-10 (or other AK) bolt lock back?

OK I was just wondering if it happened to anybody else. I know why it happens and I'm not in any hurry to make it stop. Like I said, I rather like it. And like I said, I don't trust it as a safety or anything, but at certain times it's useful.

Does your WASR-10 (or other AK) bolt lock back?

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue or if I just have a special rifle. On my WASR-10, if the bolt is pulled back slowly enough, it will catch on the top of the hammer/trigger assembly near the back of it's travel and stay open until a bit of force is applied to push it back past this...

    Ak 47-Wasr 10?

My WASR-10 has straight sights and no mag wobble. Headshots on silhouettes at 100 yards are easy. If you can look at it before you buy it, you can choose one that will be good. Just wondering why you needed 3 threads about AK's though. Everyone's basically going to tell you the same...

Anzio Ironworks 20mm Bolt Action Rifle

Way too big, way too heavy, way too expensive, completely impractical. I want one sooo bad.

    Pre-warning 10/22 or new 597

I bought a new 597 a few months ago and have no problems with it. I've had one stovepipe with a subsonic round. Other than that, it's accurate with cheap ammo and the mags work fine. I have a 30 rounder on order. Hopefully that will work just as well.

    92FS or S&W M&P?

Beretta 92FS + Hogue rubber finger groove grips = sweet weapon. Happens to fit me very well and I can shoot it very accurately, not to mention I haven't had any failure in well over a thousand rounds. I love it. Lasermax guide rod laser is also pretty cool. :)

    So I picked up a 597. A few questions...

    1. I don't know. 2. They have mixed reviews. I've been thinking about picking up one of the black ones made by Remington. 3. I agree - one of the reasons why I bought mine. That's a pretty good deal even for a used one. Did you get one that came with a scope? What ammo did you use? Mine...

    Dad finally got his CHL

I've been into guns for many years now, and always try to introduce new people to the sport, including my parents. Just happy to say that yesterday after several range trips with me, my father got his CHL. Now starts the fun of looking for a good CCW. Any recommendations other than Kahrs...

    WASR 10 wood finish suggestions

To those of you that use polyurethane and oils and such, how does your finish respond to heat? I had a gorgeously stained, urethaned finish on my WASR. Put 120 rounds through it, took it home, pulled it out of the case, and the urethane had bubbled up around the gas tube and looked...

    Is a gun always loaded?

As several others have stated, the original question was, is a gun always loaded, not should you treat a gun as if it is loaded. A gun is not always loaded. However, with regards to muzzle control and general safe handling, you should treat it with care and respect. Those of you quoting...
