I've ordered a bunch of these mags for my dept. from Mark and they're new. It's the mil-spec dry lube finish that causes them to wear out so easily. Many of the 30rd mags that used to come with COLT rifles looked like that. Don't worry about it and just shoot it. IMO these NHMTG mags...
