Its a 2.5 inch barrel. I had to sand the grips until they would clear around the trigger guard and now they fit ok. Thanks for all the replies and help!

"How off is it? Sometimes wood grips need to be fitted a little bit." This could be it. I have another round but K frame I am going to pull the grips and compare.

2" barrel pinned and recessed. Target hammer and trigger. Its a round but. I thought ahrends K\L frame grips would fit it for sure. It just does not line up with either grips I have tried.

I acquired a model 19-3. It came with overmolded aftermarket grips. I want to put some different grips on but neither of the grips I have tried want to fit correctly. I tried some S&W K frame round but grips but they don't fit. I bought some ahrends grips to put on there they don't fit either...

Yes I would like to know who did the engraving as well. Mike

Get the Colt CCO. They are hard to find but out there. STI Ranger is a good second choice. Otherwise a Kimber Compact series I is a good third choice. All have the short grip and 4" barrel.

I like my Allessi, well worth the cash...

Maybe not an investment but a store of value if you bought it right.

So if I can get it for ~$700 I am doing good?

Its a Dan Wesson, Monson Mas. pack with 2", 4", 6", 8", and a 15" barrels in .357

That's kind of what I thought so I guess it could be new in box but not factory original. Mike

The attached pic is of a "new in box" model 57. Anyone know if the 57 came from the factory with these grips??

I might get corrected on this one, but I fear the mink oil you used caused the stretching of the leather. Sometimes completely soaking the leather and letting it dry will cause it to shrink. Someone else here might chime in... Mike

Shoot it and enjoy. You won't wear it out and as long as you take care of it you lose nothing in value at this point.
