    1911 goes into Auto

Just my opinion and I don't want you to take this the wrong way but for you to ask what could cause such a malfunction means you probably don't have the skill or working knowledge of the 1911 to make the repair. My suggestion is very simple, take the firearm to a qualified gunsmith familiar with...

    Chapter Two: Why "Plink" Loads?

I second what others have said in regards to light handgun loads being very accurate. Almost every round of 45 acp I load is a plated 200 grain wadcutter with a charge of 4 grains of 700x. What makes this load so accurate is not the charge. In fact I have loaded some rounds at 3.8 with no change...

    22 TCM sizing/decapping

Unfortunately you will need a 22 tcm resizing die. Not withstanding all of the other case dimensions the neck tension is the most important part of resizing especially in a bottlenecked cartridge. Beyond that a cartridge being fed into an autoloading pistol meat be fully resized to feed...

Please recommend the rest of my kit.

What you are thinking of is a media seperator. Both dillion and cabelas sell them as well as others I'm sure. They definitely do come in handy

Think twice before buying WW brass

A lot of my my magnum brass is Winchester in 7mm and 300 win. I've never had a problem with it but then again it was bought as new brass. I also have loaded untold amounts of their handgun brass and it has been flawless to except that some of the 38 specials I've have run across had thick rims...

Hercules 12 Reloder Smokeless Rifle Powder

I would say and mind you I don't know this to be fact, that it was probably discontinued for the same reason hodgdons is discontinuing the some of the Sr series powders and pb under the imr label. They say these are low volume niche products and discounting will free them up to producce more of...

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

Please recommend the rest of my kit.

Well it all depends on what kind of volume you are thinking of reloading in the future. If it's going to be a box or two of ammo a month then the rcbs 5-0-5 scale will serve you just fine. I would also go ahead and purchase a quality powder measure as well and a trickler. Now if money is no...

    Case Length

If I were reloading for sheer accuracy I would trim them all to a consistent length. This will give you the most consistent bullet release shot to shot. But if it's just plunking ammo and they are all under max length I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Target Loads for a Gold Cup

Long time reader first time poster. 4.7 grns of wst under a 200 Swc makes a great medium target load. For a really light load 3.8 grns of 700-x under a 200 Swc. But will reliably function a 16 pound spring with a clean burn to boot. Good luck and always work up your load in your gun. Tom
