I had been pondering this a little bit based on reading. I was thinking it might be fun to try it with little older tech, an M1 Carbine, GI 1911, and period pump gun. Not in a snoot sense like I've seen posted on this board before, just because those are the sort of guns I prefer to shoot...

I have heard of .38 super Thompsons. have no idea if this is true or not, so please correct me if I am wrong. But that would be cooler than Thompsons already are. Hopefully some one can set me straight.

I got my eye on one if it comes up in the pawn shop I will be happy. It does have the pinned barrel.

I did not read the whole thread but I must say the results are not what I expected.

Copperas cove host an action pistol, IDPA and 3 gun match each month. We have a yahoo group as well. I dont shoot at the public ranges but shoot private and with the Copperas Cove Pistol Club (CCPC).

I did not know that a member here made that very useful tool. A big thanks from myself and the rest of the guys and gals on the Gunnys' list.

Firepower magazine? Is that correct? I remember my Dad having some he saved they were out of business by the time I got interested. I recall one 1911 clone that threw the brass up resulting in it hitting the guy in the cap brim. So he stapled a cup to the brim to catch it, funny pictures...

That actualy looks good man, not at all what I feared.

I would think either custom kydex or cut the flap off of the old style mag pouch.
