    NFA mosin nagant

Why not go with 10" barrel and a rechamber / rebarrel into .300 whisper (which uses almost all of the powder by 10")... Then you have a short little gun worthy of being an SBR (14" isn't worth it IMO) and with the right suppressor will be at the same length as a regular 16" barrel or so. Kent

    Sound Suppressors

I think that you should go to www.silencerresearch.com and read about the independant reviews there. For a Glock 19, I wouldn't go with Gemtech. AAC Evo 9 or Tirant 9 are far better choices IMO for a number of reasons: suppression levels, lightweight, FRP, etc. I have a AAC Evo 9, and...

Status of Concealed Carry in National Parks?

I'm about to head to yellowstone for a week of canoe'ing and fishing and would love to be able to legally bring some protection against 2 and four legged predators... especially since we're going to be 7 hours away from help for 4-5 days (canoe'ing in 7 hours). What is the status? I have...

    Watch/Guard Dogs

I breed and train Dobermans. Full obedience and protection training. I train guard dogs for the rich who need them. Dobes are the best family dog I can imagine. Sweet, loyal, etc. Big babies most of the time, 100% pure protector when they need to be. If you want a watch dog, get...

    Is this a good BoB?

LAK, I highly suggest that you check out a Gunslinger before you continue. Anyone who has used one looks at your statements and chuckles because it is obvious you don't know what you are talking about with this piece of gear. Best of luck and Semper Fidelis, Kent

    Is this a good BoB?

And how many of those "surplus military items" can carry a fully concealed rifle? How many allow you to draw a rifle from your pack in 4 seconds or less from the standing or kneeling position? Eberlestock does.

    Is this a good BoB?

    High quality AR15 magazines

I ordered 100 Cproduct stainless steel mags two+ years ago. I had to return them 3 times. First return was 70+ of the 100. Next return was 45 of the 70+. Last return was 23 of 45. Failure to feed. Mag spring getting caught. Not fitting into the mag well. I still haven't gotten...

    Carrying while wearing a backpack

I carry a rifle (.45-70 Marlin Guide gun) with me every time I go backpacking. I used to carry a dropleg holster for my Glock 20, up until a few months ago when I swapped to a .44Mag. I now use a drop holster for a .44Mag (S&W 629). Since I have swapped over from the Glock 20, I have gone...

    noveske N4

Timradcliffe345, I am sorry to say Sir that you just showed your ignorance of Noveske and AR brands in particular. Noveske gear is being used throughout many theatres across the globe by those who bet their lives on their gear everyday. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and simply...

Lethal shooting in Salt Lake City, UT; CCW holder was the shooter

Actually, the law states that you can use deadly force in Utah for three reasons: 1) When you are in fear of your life or serious bodily injury 2) To protect a third party from death or serious bodily injury 3) To prevent the commission of a forcible felony.

How's the .50 Beowulf coming along? Is it here to stay and safe to buy?

theshootist, Welcome to the Highroad :) .458 suppresses better than .50. Smaller hole. IMO, the .458 is better for suppressed fire because it has large bullets (so does the .50) but a smaller hole. Obviously 9mm suppresses even better and so does .22LR but we are looking for heavy...

How's the .50 Beowulf coming along? Is it here to stay and safe to buy?

I think that the .458 Socom fills the same role as the .50 Beo. I am probably leaning towards the .458 a little more... as it would be easier to suppress. Thoughts?

Are insurance companies the "root cause" of why most employees can't carry? If so...

My company has Auto Owners Insurance Group as its primary insurance carrier (liability, comp, umbrella, etc). No such wording exists. I have yet to find one and I am the CFO for a major manufacturing company. I carry, as do any employees who want. I have no clue how many due, as I don't...

    IWB With No Holster?

I think that most of these people are talking without having tried it. I tried several IWB holsters and they were all uncomfortable, especially the Sidearmor ones. I carried with a permit for 6 years "mexican" style with a Glock 19 with a round in the chamber. I cinched it down tight...
