Some eye candy in time for Christmas

Those would look nice along side the brace of David McKay Brown guns I'm going to fly to Glasgow to have fitted when I win the lottery. http://mckaybrown.com/www.mckaybrown.com/The_Side_by_Side_Gun.html

    Any issues with recoil-reset triggers?

I learn something new every day. I thought resetting the trigger with the safety was inherent in the inertia trigger design. My only experience is with Brownings and Berettas, so I guess that's kind of limited.

    Any issues with recoil-reset triggers?

Furthermore, just setting the safety on, then off again will set the trigger for the second barrel.

kydex pocket holster vs leather or nylon

I tried a kydex pocket holster for my Kahr .380 and found it was just too stiff to be comfortable. I've had much better luck with leather and nylon ones.

    Pocket Carry Question

I've carried a concealed handgun, mostly J-frame revolvers, for a long time and never anywhere but in my pocket. I've also owned some of the guns discussed here (including a Grendel) and formed some opinions about them. The Kel-Tecs were awful, I'll never own another, YMMV. The Ruger LCP is a...

One gun for all or purpose-built?

If you have two Citoris and a BT-99, you're not just starting out or shooting a little bit for fun. If you got the 30 inch Citori fitted to you, you would have a gun that works well for skeet, trap doubles, and sporting clays. Trap singles not so much, but you have the BT-99. For many years...

One gun for all or purpose-built?

I'm in the one gun for everything camp. I mostly shoot sporting clays, but shoot trap and skeet when that's all that's available. I've found that switching guns just doesn't work well for me. There are a few exceptions though, I like to shoot the pump gun and 20 gauge events at bigger shoots...

    Sporting Clays - first time

I shoot lots of sporting clays and 5 Stand, and think they're the best of the clay target sports. For several years after I started all I had was an 870 with a fixed skeet choke barrel and I did well enough. Now I have a couple Wenig stocked Citoris and a Beretta DT 10, but I still haul out...

Share your day at the trap field!

Our club has trap and skeet every Saturday and Sunday, and Sporting Clays and 5-Stand each once a month. I figure it's all just clay targets in the air so I shoot everything. That said, I shot three rounds of skeet last Sunday and scored 21, 22, and 24.

    Shotgun for bad back

My shooting and hunting buddy, who's nearly 70 and has had neck and back problems and tried a lot of guns in the last few years, just got a Beretta UGB25 and says he's found his ultimate gun. In addition to being recoil sensitive, gun weight is an issue for him, but he's used the UGB pretty...

    Tried out the HK USP

You described my .45 USP pretty well, especially the trigger, but you left out 'big'. The thing just feels enormous to me. I got a really good deal on it though and like it well enough I sent it in to be converted to Variant 2 (same as above but left handed). I'll never carry it, but it's a...

Defensive shotgun - standard tube vs. extended tube

Zoogster explained my thought process better than I did. Another benefit of not fully loading an extended magazine is that I've never had the problem of spring pressure deforming the shells that others have reported.

Defensive shotgun - standard tube vs. extended tube

That's right, you don't have to load them all the way. I have a +3 extension on an 870, but only load 5 rounds of buckshot. There are 5 rounds of slugs in a butt cuff and I can load two of them without doing anything else.

My version of the Remington 1740

That's the neatest thing I've seen since the original 1740. Nice job.

My Eyes Aint What They Used To Be.

I'm in a similar situation, I'm 59, have worn glasses for 50 years and bifocals for 20. I've also worn contacts for years and need generic reading glasses when I do. I don't do much plinking with a handgun anymore, but try to shoot 15-20 rounds from one of my carry guns every week or so...
