Well, I wound up springing for a seekins precision barrel from AIM. I just finished building my pistol today. Now I'm just waiting on a muzzle device and some sights and she'll be good to go. I'll post pics when I get completely done. By the way, anyone looking to sell sb15 arm brace? ;)

I've been thinking about that route... I need to call around and see what different businesses are charging for transfer fees. What's the going rate? ~$100?

Good input Theohazard, thanks. That's the kind of comparison I was hoping to hear. Maybe others have experienced similar results? I saw the aac rebate. That made things pretty tempting too. The problem is for some reason aac stuff is so expensive in my area. It's all msrp. Bummer

Does anybody have any experience with the octathe on a blackout? I'm curious how much it will take before getting too hot and how the sound is compared to some of the .30 cal cans

Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware that diamondback was making blackouts. I guess I forgot to mention that I'm looking for a barrel under 10". Sorry for skipping that detail. That is probably somewhat important :o

I suppose that's probably true. Does anybody have any other barrels they have used that they can share their experience with, good or bad? I've also considered core 15, palmetto state armory, and cmmg. Cmmg sounded like a hit or miss though
