    Glenfield Marlin Model 60

Howdy folks, I have a Glenfield model 60. It about 28-30 yrs old. Was given to me as a Christmas gift about 1981. It has been a great little gun. Still is. It just jams a lot. It still shoots cci mini mags however. Yesterday I shot 100 rds. No jams. As quickly as I started with the bulk stuff...

    Lingering granules of media?

I sometimes tumble brass that I am worried about. Damp media or polish not mixed well, just stuff like that. When this happens to me I will take the really cheap Qtips and just do a couple of quick swabs in each case. I have never really gotten that much out except for once. I had left my...

Decison Made Howdy Folks, After much researching and reading what you guys have written I made my decision. I went with the 10-22. It was a tough deciscion between it and the marlin model 60. Had it not been for the literally thousands of upgrades and options available for the Ruger I would...

    Black Friday Gun Sales

I also read this morning that part of the increase was due to better marketing schemes by the gunmakers. Now the fact is I do not see much tv. But I don't remember seeing ANY advertisements for firearms except where one would expect to see them. Hunting and shooting magazines and the like. One...

    257+p Roberts Hoax?

A few days ago I posted a question about whether to shoot 257+p in my 722 Remington. Everything should be fine was the general response. Dugout my reloading manuals, some old, some a little more modern. I just don't get it. Loads from the Hornady 3 are hotter than the Hornady 4. The Hornady 4...

    setting shoulder bump

Howdy folks, I am wanting to find a good way to accurately set my shoulder on bump. This really looks like a nifty gadget. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/202017/redding-instant-indicator-comparator-with-dial-260-remington But it is expensive. I am wondering if this will work just as well...

Very strange .44 magnum load result

Even if you can push them back you can still shoot them. As long as you load them one at a time. I am assuming you are using a revolver. I would be afraid to try to cycle them through a lever action.

Best all around powder for magnum pistol loads

296/110 is all I have used so can't say anything about the others. But both of these work wonders in my 44mag trapper.

    Easiest Firearm

My model 14 smith. I don't believe there is a bad load. But then again most 38's seem to be fairlly easy to load for.

    Perfect Gun?

My perfect nominee would be the s&w model 14 with a 6" barrel.

    Why do you hunt?

Howdy folks, I am just curious if I am the only hunter here who does not care if they kill anything. I have been deer hunting for 12 years now. Still ain't killed one. Seen some, had shots at some. Circumstanses just did not allow for me to take the shot. I am in my mid 40's now and really...
