Handgun Pictures

Holy cow.............just saw such a Walther.

Guys said they were rare...............didn't know that rare!
Somebody around here bought it ? and it transferred through my LGS.

not sure if any of you guys have tried this one out before or not but worthy of mention the Sar arms B6P ( and B6P compact ) super solid durable and well made Turkish CZ 75 clone of sorts 5k rounds ( between the two I own both versions ) and all they seem to do is perform ... cheap price but not cheaply made ( Polished stainless steel barrel and guide rod , double steel spring )

not the prettiest gun made but its an all day accurate reliable shooter for around $300

Very VERY nice mate :)

Can I ask where you got the weights from for the Expert/Elite?

If I can suggest something I'd look into getting a piece of the black photographic paper for the backgrounds. Makes a big difference compared to using the fabric type backgrounds as you get a more solid and even look with out the lines and creases or the material bunching up.

Good idea about the paper! I will try to find some.

The weights are from Merkle Tuning in Germany. They are a very small outfit who don't export. Pretty much the only way to get them in the USA is the secondary market. Maybe there are a few floating around Australia.

They are a great addition, and better than the Match weight, in my opinion. They are better balanced, heavier, and make the guns feel like nice all-steel customs, particularly with the new (heavier) steel jet funnel mags for added balance. Fully loaded, the Elite is now 58oz, Expert 53oz.

I believe there are some here, I remember seeing one (not necessarily for the HK) for sale a number of years ago.

Shame about the no export though I do enjoy a challenge.

If I can get them to ship to Austria then that should be fairly easy for me as I have a shipping company I use with a base there. If not I have close family friends living close to the German border at the end of this year or I could make a visit to Germany as I'm going to Europe next year. One way or another :)

I'd love to get my hands on some of those new steel mags but alas they do not make them in a 10rd version. I had to beg HK Australia once to do some 10rd mags of the original polymer version, I guess they could be worth an email to see about the steel mags.

So which is your favourite HK shooter now? And how do they compare to the X6? I'd imagine the X6 is out in front?

The Elite, especially with the weight, is my favorite HK shooter now. Its test target shows a group of less than 1" at 25m and I shoot it as well as anything else.

Now that I have the weight on there to make it feel like a proper steel gun, it's #3 on my list of 9mms, right after the Pardini GT9 (#1) and X6 with weight (#2).

I hope you find a way to get a weight down there. It would probably be pretty trivial for a European friend to ship you some "plumbing equipment..."

Lifesizepotato, you have just about all my must have pistols in your collection. Incredible photography to boot.

This is my favorite pistol. Looking back at my handloading log this Les Baer TRS has over 50,000 rounds of LSWC through it.

This target was shot offhand at 15 yards at USI in Concord, CA.

Most gun nuts take great pride in their collect. Unfortunately over the years the glass gun cabinets which where prominently displayed in the family room or den had to be replaced with gun safes hidden in closets or special rooms far from prying eyes.

No longer do gun nuts publicly boast of their collections or invite casual friends over to take pride in others envy. The best we can do is hide behind avatars and fetishist names and post pictures where once we would gladly let others handle our pride and joys...

So here is my current handgun collection with hopes that others will share as well.

Not a pistol but my Christmas gift this year. Haven't shot a pic of one of my guns yet but it should do fine for that purpose.
