The Rohrbaugh 9 brought down to .380 with what seems like ergonomic improvement.

They're really just producing the Rohrbaugh R380 with some minor changes. Its not like they had to figure out how to rechamber the Rohrbaug R9 to shoot 380 ACP - the Rohrbaughs had already done that.

I don't think there has been much ergonomic improvement, they checkered the front strap and IMO that's it. I wouldn't say replacing the heel magazine release was an ergonomic improvement and I wouldn't say adding a slide stop lever is an ergonomic improvement. I don't know how many times I've heard stories of people's guns dropping a mag because during daily carry they ended up bumping the frame mounted mag release button, but there is still a knee-jerk aversion to heel release guns.

BTW, the gun ships with a flush magazine and one mag with the extension, and no one is twisting anyone's arm to put a laser on it.

I am happy to see the Remington bashing in full flower including pages of rhetoric from those who provide not one personal experience with Remington products they have actually purchased. I would like to see the .380 released and subsequent owners experience be posted be it pro or con. My only Remington purchased in recent years is an R1 and R1 s pistols which have digested many rounds with total reliably. The R51 story could have been handled in a different manner by Remington, clouding the failure of a product is not the way to gain loyalty. If the R51 is reintroduced a full disclosure by Remington is owed to the buying public along with the improvements made and a written guarantee on the new product. I am quite anxious to acquire a redesigned/ R1 product but need to know what failed and how was that issue corrected.
So in summation I do not have any cute but degrading names for Remington or bashing of their products but would like to see a public explanation of why a flawed pistol (R 51) has had so little information released to the consumer and when it's replacement will actually make it to buyers.

There have been some changes from the Rohrbaugh, specifically trigger guard reshaped, which has been described as giving better grip on this small auto.
an ergonomic improvement

From what I can see they changed the angle of the trigger guard, its now more horizontal, but I don't think they changed the angle of the actual trigger.

One thing I do notice now is the rear of the grip goes higher / close to the slide before it flares out, and they put more of a beaver tail on there so I'm thinking a shooter may be able to get the web of their hand slightly higher on the gun.
