It's funny what some folks carry, "to me anyway". I have seen guys say they have no problem carrying a 1911, full size, in their jeans. Then I saw the guy who was a giant of a man with overalls on. If he can get away with dressing like zztop, God bless him, I can't. I started with revolvers, "snubbys" and they were still not easy to hide all the time but manageable. 1911's in a full size alloy frame, can be done, but it's hard to have dinner with it hitting the seat or your crown jewels. The Glock 19/23, which was ok, most of the time, with a cover garment. But in FL you wear tee shirts a lot. So pocket carry became my preferred carry, ankle is second and owb is third. I don't like to trust any firearm pointed at my nuts.
Maybe the safety started to wear a bit on that Ultra, or gremlins got in there, Don't get me wrong , there are times and certain guns I will still stick in there, and I don't have safety's other than 1911 safety's, I try to point it down my rt leg instead, but only as a last resort. Truth is unless you pull the trigger the gun should be ok, it's just the brain saying why are you doing this again? I am of the school that if it's not chambered, it's not a gun.
