Why PSA?

No problems for me...
Received my first complete upper a couple weeks ago (7.62x39).
Just received my second PSA complete lower today. (First one was a bit over a year ago.) Already considering buying another.

I either need to unsubscribe from their daily emails, or buy another safe.

I was told that was the only place one can cash his retirement check! Mine is on direct deposit with PSA

They are out of stock with certain products because they sell them at very affordable prices. Naturally they sell out quickly. You have to watch their daily/weekly specials and be ready to buy when an item you want is in stock.

When I got the AR bug last year, I shopped at PSA. I heard the stories about shipping problems but did not experience any at all. My lower was shipped to my FFL in a week and the lower came to me in 5 or 6 days.
I got really good deals on the gun also. MY upper is the Freedom line with the melonite finish, charging handle and B/G for $266. The lower is the Magpul MOE version and was $166. I also got lucky and hit one of their free shipping deals on the upper.Total of $455!!
The gun is tight and the finish on the upper and lower match perfectly. I am very pleased with it!!

Many said price vs. quality, they do have great price in the past but not necessarily better quality compare to other vendors. Their shipping is high and they don't combine shipping, so after shipping, the price is not necessarily better if you buy multiple items. Quality wise, they actually messed up a few times on the new released products, but they have great customer service and will take care of you if you can get hold of them! Phone always busy, have to wait a week or so to get email answered but they have a sub-forum at ak47.net and have representatives answer forum IMs and take care of you!

They've got lots of low priced AR parts (at least some of the time) and seem to be at least acceptable to do business with.

Their quality control is hit and miss.

There are two stores handy to me. Good selection of nearly everything.... except reloading. Their reloading section sucks.
