I've seen lots of conflicting information on this issue. I have a Savage LRP in 6.5 creedmoor and am getting it ready for some long range shooting. I have Badger rings and a steel Badger one piece base. Badger doesn't recommend bedding, but I don't necessarily see a downside... isn't eliminating the possibility for flex a good thing? Or should I not worry about it with a quality steel base (it visually appears to fit the action very well)

If you bed the base to the receiver, you will see how much gap their is between their base and your receiver.
If you dont see an improvement, or things get worse, you can always remove the bedding material with Epoxy remover paint stripper.
