I've been bullet shopping and found Midsouthshooterssupply.com has varmint nightmare for a good price.

does anyone use these?

Looking for accuracy and using a bolt gun. they beat hornady SP by about $15 in price.

I suppose I'm a fan. I've loaded them in 22-250, 223ai, and several 223s.

IF I was forced to pick just one 'do-all' .224 bullet with the intention of making my $$$ go the farthest & all other factors included consistency/accuracy/versatility/availability etc, the 55gr Varmint Nightmare w/ Cannelure @ about .08 cents is very hard to beat in my opinion. I used to buy a lot of Hornady's #2266 - 55gr SP w/ cannelure - but rarely are they found on sale for the same price as the varmint nightmare has basically always been priced at... they look identical and have virtually the same sectional density & coefficient to boot :scrutiny:

I get sub moa from the 55gr hp varmint nightmare (the extreme, not the regular one)

Part of me thinks they are actually nosler varmegeddon projectiles.

I've settled on the 34gn Varmint Nightmare in my .218 Bee, gives excellent results on paper for a great price.....trying them on MT gophers next week.
