I think this one is going to be hard for you guys to predict. It was for me. I was able to punch through regular level III armor with .270 Win pretty easily. The Highcom 3S9 and Spartan 3610 GL level III+ composite plates stopped it, but with a LOT of back face deformation. They also stopped M855A1, which will punch right through level III+ steel plates. In short, I had no idea what to expect. Place yer bets.

Armour Wear "AR680" level III+ steel plate versus 130 gr .270 Win at 2,900 fps fired from Rem 700. Please note this plate is not rated nor intended for this threat.
Load details: 130 gr Sierra Game King over 54 gr of IMR 4831

That is impressive! I expected it to stop it, 130 is pretty light, even if it is going a bit faster than 7.62NATO 150 gr. But I expected a LOT more back face crater and a broken water jug.

Velocity is the main factor in defeating steel and this was a fairly light load. There is typically almost not back face deformation with steel plates. It's all or nothing.
