It appears to be a Röhm RG 70 or clone. The sights are dead on as is the hammer. But there's a break in the slide jimping that indicates it's a clone.

Mystery solved. The cutting along the jimping (the cuts on the slide that facilitate grasping) is for the extractor. In some models it doesn't extend back that far, but in this one, that's what we're seeing.
Yep, I do believe Confederate nailed it. Here's a picture from the right side showing the extractor and pin in the slide.
I hadn't noticed that the hammer doesn't have a hole all the way through it, but after seeing this image, it's also obvious in the original picture posted.
