Best .25 acp pocket pistol ever made.

I'l still pick the ASTRA CUB and my COLT JUNIOR. I have a CUB 22SHORT with 6742 rounds through it and it still runs like a top and can hit POA out well past 25 yrds. The 25ACP versions are simply quite excellent as well in my experience.
And so to goes...

I like my little FIE .25 ACP. Makes a very reliable "boot gun".

I have or had them all pretty much , including the oddest of the odd balls. I would say the 1908 Colt is very high on the list of Best as it is a superb robust design and they seem to feed and go bang allways. With the grip safety they are quite a bit safer for pocket carry than the Baby Browning and the Baby is finicky compared to the older 1908. The Beretta 21 was my favorite for years as I feel the DA is safer for everyday carry and I too have a soft spot for the Astra cub/Colt Junior. The TPH is very nice and I had one in Stainless but it did not like hollow point ammo and is a bit bigger than the smaller guns. The Beretta 950 and better the early 21 guns would be my second nomination, and I prefer to carry one if I had to over the Colt 1908. The baby Browning Lightweight Model would be my third pick but I only carried mine with chamber empty .

I liked the little feller a lot and the larger belonged to one of my kid's baby sitters. They are both Italian.

It appears that every other picture I have of the Ortgies has been posted on THR before and this is an issue.

I like the Ortrgie even though as has been pointed out the grip safety is rather easily pushed in. It is not a spring loaded bit like on a 1911 but more of an on -off push button of sorts in that it pops out to put the gun on safe when the slide is wracked but once pushed in it stays in until reset. During one move or another I have lost the little IWB holster I had to keep it oriented right when carried so with that finicky safety it is a safe queen these days.

Oh for those of you that have seen none of my Ortgies pictures that is NOT a one inch grid, but an old Japanese "GO" board the .25 ACP is laying on.

The Bernadelli has a safety behind the trigger on the left side that is easily pushed off with the thumb by right hander.

The SATA has a little thumb safety the same place as a 1911, though thanks to its small size it is not as easy to work.

As a kid, a friend of about 16 at the time had a Mauser 1910 .25ACP. It was large enough to actually hold on to but still had teenie tinnie sights. Price of ammo kept us from shooting it much.

Interestingly the Mauser was captured from a Japanese Naval Officer by the kid's dad in WWII.

4 .25s pictured with a couple others to give you size reference. There is a Colt 1908, An Astra Cub, a manufactured in Hartford Colt Junior and a lightweight Baby Browning in the center. These were actually carried by me over the years with the not shown Beretta 21 .25 . I still have half a dozen weird ones including a VB Bernadelli, a Galesi, a uber weird Manufrance Police .25 a stainless .25 #2 pen gun and a German Mann .

I really like the slipper your little '08 is wearing. Does it have a spring clip on the far side for IWB carry by chance?

I also like the rig your S&W is in and the grip adaptor on it.

edit: I just paid attention to the rig your Baby Browning is in. Is that a thigh holster?

08 Colt holster does have a nickle plated strong clip for in the pants
That is an ankle holster the lightweight Baby is in. It is so light and small you forget you are wearing it !

I'm going to go with the JetFire.

It has a very solid "combat" trigger. The CZ 45 is a neat gun, but it's a little large. The JetFire holds up well in the size/weight category compared against its modern counterparts. It's slightly smaller than a Kel-Tec P32 (and weighs about the same).

I bought an FIE Titan many moons ago at a gun show to carry as a back up gun. I put three or four boxes of FMJ through it over the years, never a bobble. Several years ago the pin holding the firing pin gave way and the pin came flying back and hit me in the chest (always wear eye protection!). Since I paid the princely sum of $45 for it almost two decades earlier I decided to retire it into the deepest part of our local river.

I have Colt, Beretta and Budachowski ( minature PPK ) .25's that are great but take a second place to the beautifully machined and functioning Star model CO.

That's because you haven't fired my Beretta 21A Inox, my Jennings J-22 or my Beretta 70S. All three of these shoot .22LR ammo as fast as you can pull the trigger. But still, I know what you're saying. I use CCI Minimags in all three and have found them to be exceedingly reliable. I've also found my little stainless Jetfire .25ACP to be as reliable as any auto can be reliable.

The Jetfire takes, what, nine rounds? And it does them as fast as you can pull the trigger. I have a Davis P-32 that's patterned after the popular Raven .25acp, yet it jams every other round! Some have Jennings J-22s that don't work, but mine is extremely reliable. I'd like to get my Davis working, but if I buy another magazine and it doesn't work, I've thrown good money after bad.

^^Those older J-22s can certainly be decent and reliable shooters. Mine is.

But, neither they nor the Davis can beat any other gun for "the best .25 pocket pistol" out there.

I do like the Jetfire. My PT-25 Taurus holds nine in the mag as well, and few could argue that ten of those little pills zipping at/into someone will give them pause..

If we are sticking with the "tiny" criteria, I'd vote the Bauer .25. All stainless, high quality, modern knockoff off the baby browning. Love mine for what it is. That said, if I am going to carry a 25 that is any bigger, I'll switch to a 380.
