Couldn't find a Colt Defender, so I settled for this.

Sig Sauer 1911 Ultra .45 TSS

3.3" barrel, alloy frame, weighs 25 oz., trigger is 4 1/4 oz., came with tritium sights. Shoots very well indeed-- first shot at 10 yards was a bullseye, and everything else was inside 3". This is my first Sig, but I think it won't be my last. Only fifty rounds so far (with no troubles), but I'll take it on a shakedown cruise of 250 more tomorrow. So far, I'm really impressed!

I beg to differ; no settling there, at all! Very nice. You picked a pistol from a company that actually markets to us lowly 'civilians' instead of something from a company that many feel has long-since lost its focus.

Sweet looking gun! Even though I'm a big Colt fan I don't see any "settling" going on by getting a SIG 1911 Ultra .45 TSS. Wouldn't mind at all adding one of those to my CCW rotation.
