If you were visiting one of the CMP stores, which one is likely to have the better selection of rifles?

I honestly can't say, the North Store was closer for me when I chose my M1 a few years ago. Might want to call ahead and find out which has a 'better' selection.

Well, the North store is about 3-4 hours from me and the South store is 8 so from southern Ohio, the choice was easy for me.

All of the merchandise sold in the stores goes through the CMP facilities at Anniston, AL.

So, depending on how the flow of inventory is going, the North store is more likely to have limited inventory.

It used to be, the South Store would have some odd things or worn out things that were not worth shipping north and taking up storage space. But it has been a while since I've been active with CMP or been to the South store. The current CEO does some things different from his predecessor.

Call the stores and check how well they are stocked.

Either store, if you want "something nice" you better be there when the store opens on Thurs AM, and then on fri, Saturday am.
I recently got lucky and found what I was looking for; a "dog eared shooter".
