Hiya Guys :) ,

I realize I've been buying a lot of firearms since I've got this insurance settlement from my recent accident, and I realize I've spent more than I expected too or probably should have, but the one thing I've been patiently waiting for to add to my collection before I stop buying guns for a while is this gorgeous all numbers matching Norwegian krag Jorgensen in 6.5x55 Swedish that was made by Steyr in 1897 :) . Based on all the information I've found this one is built on the 1894 action, and this has got to be one of if not the sexiest rifle I have ever owned. My friend even threw in 160 rounds of privy partisan ammunition for it as well, for $280 there's no way I could go wrong ;) ....

The inlay at the front of the stock is exotic African Ironwood

Did I forget to mention that she's sitting in a beautiful Walnut stock ?

That's a truly sweet looking Norwegian Krag sporter, made all the more remakable in that: 1) it was made by Steyr, and 2) you got it for $280!

Thanks Guys. To be honest I'm not sure how much of a Sporter this may or may not be, Idk ?. From what I've been told the barrel and the action are all original and the only thing that may have changed from the original configuration is the stock that it's sitting in ?. It came with 160 rounds of privy partisan 6.5 Swedish ammo, and I agree that for $280 I stole it. On another note I'm not even sure what these things sell for retail so that might be interesting to find out.

OMG.......... I can't believe the price......... even without the 160 rounds of excellent Prvi Partisan 6.5 ammo.. Wait until you check what they sell for and you'll realize what a deal you got. That sporter stock is gorgeous as is the rest of it. Thanks for posting..... I love to see beautiful artwork.

Well, what would you say if I told you I was originally going to pick this up with the ammo for $200 ?.

I bought this from a friend that I've done a ton of gun business with, unfortunately he lives and our from my place so we get together when we can just not all the time.

The original deal that we had on this krag was for $200 with the ammo :p . We had the deal set and we were waiting for the weekend to roll around so we could get it done. About the middle of the week he sends me a text and said that his neighbor just offered him $350 for it. I sent him a text back and told him that his neighbor could pound sand because we already have a deal set on it. He said yes I know I was just thinking that if it was okay with you it would save me two hours of drive time this weekend. I said well I like the rifle I want the rifle and your neighbors just chit' outta luck. However, just to be a nice guy I'll meet you in the middle at $280 and you can still tell your neighbor I said he can pound sand. He said okay, fair enough. The weekend rolled around and we got it done

BTW, I've been looking at the prices of some of the krag rifles online and I didn't realize just how badly I stole this thing, wow.

Wahoo, just picked up a nice locking cabinet off Craigslist for $80 delivered. Now I can unload my closet and get it loaded up :) ...
