Don't have one but sure would like one! Would make for great little Kit Gun, especially with that 3 1/2" barrel. Photos please when you get a chance.

I think your Single Six is very close in age to my Single Six! Thanks for the size comparison; that Bearcat is really quite small especially when you have them side by side.

Oh, and you've got some sweet looking grips on the Single Six too!

beautiful weapon. it looks perfectly balanced in the pictures. how does it balance in the hand? i know my "stock" bearcat is a bit muzzle heavy.

Congrats an the great new gun. Nice old gun, too!I love Ruger single actions. ;)

bannockburn,...thank you! Those grips were from a fella I found on the interwebs. He does good work!

Yeah, I wanted to do the size comparison just in case the info was relevant to someone on here. Glad I did it.

murf,...it balances quite well actually. It actually does the "gun fighter spin" thing very well. Fun to do with it. :-D

Jim NE,...I love the Ruger single action revolvers too,...however, I won't get any of them that don't index correctly. I'm not a fan of "between the clicks". Fortunately, this one does. I occasionally toy with the idea of getting a Single Nine [which indexes correctly], but really don't want to spend that much the ammo. Per 50, 22 Mag is really quite pricey. Still,...I'm considering one. Also the soon to be released 327 Mag Single Seven Birdshead,...IF it indexes correctly.

That is a little cutie. I'd love to shoot one sometime. I'm concerned it might be too small, but then again it might also fit my small hands well.

I had my eye out for a used Single Six until the rimfire crisis, but I'd consider a Bearcat if I saw a good price.

A Single Seven in .327 Magnum with a birds head grip would be the cat's pajamas!

It really would! Too bad the ammo is relatively hard to find,....and rather pricey. It may have to be one of those "don't shoot it that much" kind of guns.

True but think of the plethora of .32 caliber cartridges you could also shoot in a .327 Magnum and the fun you'll have handloading for all of them!

I LOOOVE every one of them flutes! Much nicer than the non fluted cylinder, and a tick lighter on the belt, too!

The interesting thing about this gun is that I special ordered it, but when it came in, it was rough feeling...seemed to bind up when putting it on half cock,...and just generally felt like it had issues. I decided on purchasing it and the gun store put it on the shelf. It was actually there for a couple months. Recently, they lowered the price by like around $40 or so. I still liked the look, of course,...so decided to purchase it anyway with the idea that it would probably have to be sent back to Ruger for them to check it.

But when I got it home, I did a bit of G96 here and there, and just started working it over and over and it has really cleaned up and feels a lot better now! Glad I went ahead and got it! :-D
