As the title says, does anyone have any long term experience with the pocket holster included with LCP.

Specifically, does it become too soft and no longer able to adequately protect the trigger, and how long were you able to use it for ?

I have the LCPII. Have never used the included .soft pocket hyolsteer. IMO it is not adequate to begin with. I bought a fitted leather holster for it first thing.

I ended up ordering a Sticky for it, as they have excellent reputation and a bit thinner than Remoras.

Side by side, the Ruger holster and Sticky seem very similar. But Sticky is really, well, sticky. So I think I will stick with it.

BTW, while my Remora has a more “luxurious” feel, the Sticky seems better at retaining it’s location.

Mine lasted about six months before it broke in to the point I was uncomfortable carrying with it. I now carry my lcp2 with a kydex pocket holster.

I have been using the Ruger holster that came with my LCP on and off for over a year without any issues. I can still unholster the LCP without any problems. (It is in my right front pocket this very minute!)

When I wear jeans I use the Ruger holster. When I wear Docker type pants the material is a lot thinner and the Ruger holster prints the grip of the gun though the thin fabric pretty noticeably (not good for when I am at work). So I use another holster that pads the grip of the LCP and keeps it from printing through the thinner fabric when wearing Docker type pants. Drawing the gun is faster with the Ruger holster than the holster that covers the grip. I have never had a problem with any holster coming out of my pocket when drawing my LCP... but that is mostly due to the smooth lines and edges of the LCP with no sharp points to catch the holster. Other pocket guns I carry that aren't as rounded as the LCP have given me problems with snagging the holster when drawing the gun.
