ok guys I am wanting to do an AR 15 in 6.5 Grendel what I am wanting to recreate paint wise is the M40A1 Camo so my question is how would you go about it and what would you use to do the paint? Ceroakote?

Any cerakote shop should be able to recreate the pattern for $250-450, depending on location. It’s a simple 3 color design, easily done with readily available 3 color templates/sticker sets. It costs a lot because it’s 3 colors. Cerakote, for sure, rattle can jobs don’t hold up long term.

Thank you for your insight

Staples has vinyl sticker paper for making the camouflage shapes. Cerakote is best, but won't give that this-rifle-has-my-back-since-forever look in a few weeks of use.
I am fickle as the wind, I like Plasti-Dip because I can remove it when my mood changes. The pearl colour works great with snow, but Blaze Blue matches my hunting vest better. My Remington Twenty Two has been five different colours.:)

Additionally, it feels like Houge over mold rubber, very grippy.
