I am about ready to get my Saiga 7.62x39. I am not going to convert it for a variety of reasons (number one being I kinda like it just as it is).
I am going to paint it in either some sort of camo scheme or more likely a solid color (olive, coyote brown, neutral gray...something like that).
How and what do you mask...and to what extent? I am sure we don't want any paint down the bore. I am tempted to mask off the bolt as well...or do you take it apart first? I would think you wouldn't want any paint on the inside at all which, if taken apart, would require that much more masking.
I am going to use some sort of spray paint obviously but which and how has not been decided.
So, to what extent would one mask a Saiga rifle being spray painted? Thank.
