Ya know what walkalong... I've never seen that disclaimer before. I had to go back to the page and read it. I haven't ordered from them since maybe January. Wonder if that is something federal just started with them. I am, without question, simply a civilian.

I'll have to inquire with them. I just picked up a sig p320 vtac that I'll want to have loaded up with hst once it's a verified shooter. I've got 750 rounds of my reloads through it and will start practicing with my mags and hst right at 1k rounds. Depending on testing I figure I'll blow through 150-200 rounds of hst before I load it up to possible protect my home and family.

That will require a new order. Wonder if I'll be grandfathered in?

Check here. Same price sd bone frog. At least to NC. With shipping five boxes of fifty come out at 44 cents each.

Let's hope so for your sake.

Some time back when I bookmarked some 124 Gr HSTs I had them right at $20 a box of 50, but now those places are right at $30. Next time I see them at $20 again I'll buy a couple more boxes.

I have, and prefer, 124gr HST and Gold Dots. I've got some old Silvertips from years ago when we thought they were good and I've got some WW White Box JHP from when I couldn't find anything else. I'd buy some of the new HST Deeps and also the old Hi-Shoks if that was all that was available.

Gold Dots are my choice.
Target Sport USA has the LE Gold Dots for a decent price

$22/50 Sure appear the same as the 20 round non-LE ones.
+P

They have 115s, 147s, +P non +P

Since I can no longer mail order ammo in CA I haven't shopped around lately, but they used to be about the best I found.

In town a box of 20 is like $25, ouch.
They also have decent prices on Golden Sabres, HST etc.

Test of Gold Dots and lots of other 9mm here.

That is one area I've not investigated, who are participating Licensed Ammo Vendor's in the area and charges for the transfer. Past threads have seen $5
up to X rounds then others that charge sales tax. By the time the shipping is calculated adding in sales tax and transfer fee, the deals aren't as good. I gave up the thought of any online dealers that might sell into CA. (I see Lucky Gunner does but they don't allow that info unless registered.) Bought as much of the HST as I could afford before we got cut off.

What I use is ...

-Federal HST 124 grain +P
-Remington 124 grain Golden Sabre +P
-Winchester sXz 115 grain JHP (Bass Pro)
-Winchester 147 grain White Box

I mostly stick to the top two for carry guns, but I've been known to cheap out occasionally and get the bottom two. Those two shoot accurately enough, they expand well and they're both inexpensive enough to be able to train with.
