If you have ever received AG Russell's knife catalog and read his many comments on knives and everything else you just couldn't help but to like him. I will miss him.

Sorry to hear of his passing. Always enjoyed reading his catalogs and visiting their website. A few years back I decided I had been remiss with my knife collection and went online and ordered quite a number of knives from A.G. Russell and was very pleased and satisfied with everything I received.

Wow...very sad. Just heard from one of my knife making friends about A.G. He blessed many in being a big part of the knife world we know today. Very thankful for people like him.

I met him about 15 years ago. A real gentleman. Really enjoyed visiting his store there.

A single contact, directly or even indirectly made him a friend.
As an Infantry company armorer in the late 60s I found that with the company comanders approval I could order in personal knives for soldiers to be held in the arms room pending departure. AG Russell & Blade magazine could get Randall, Dozier, Gerber etc knives to me when no one else could. A lot of GIs shipped to Nam with personal knives from our company, knives that cost a months pay. Knives you could not get in time from anyone else.
I remember AG Russell and have dealt with them ever since.

Russell woods walker, heck of an idea and great knife. I’ve field dressed a lot of deer with it and bought each of my son’s their own.

I have numerous knives and boxed sets purchased thru their catalog. during 80's thru early 90's. I am slowly disbursing them to my three sons as Christmas gifts. AG Russell was a fine company to do business with.

A.G.'s family, our staff family here at A.G. Russell Knives and I want to express our sincere thanks for the many, many expressions of sorrow we have received from around the world on A.G.'s passing. We have received hundreds of e-mails from those of you who receive these messages each week and I am seeing where many have shared the information and their expressions of loss through social media. Thank you.
At 2:00 p.m. CST on November 17, 2018, we will honor A.G. with a celebration of his life, his contribution to the knife industry, his love of his country and his everlasting support of our military personnel, at the Embassy Suites in Rogers, Arkansas.
It was just 10 years ago this past summer that we celebrated his 75th birthday and his 44 years in the knife business at this same hotel. That event was followed with 5 additional years of the A.G. Russell Knife Event, a wonderful time for all of us and for many of you who attended, some all six years and perhaps some just one year. We still have requests from customers, knifemakers and friends to hold those shows again.
Former team members of A.G. Russell Knives, knifemakers, customers and friends have already indicated that they will be in attendance. We hope you will make plans to attend or make some plan to participate.
