I just spent 1.5hrs powdering up and loading 100rds of 308 win. I use varget and a hornady powder thrower

I drop a charge of about 43.5g and trickle up to 44.0g on a redding beam scale. most drops are under with very few being around .3g over. I trickle a few in or scoop a few out, and have some tweezers for fine tuning. my scale is .1g accurate but I can see the impact of 2 kernals of varget, so I try to get each charge "perfect" my SD's are under 10fps using winchester brass that is annealed each firing with a blowtorch and powerdrill.

now to my question: reloading/handloading for target/prs/fclass etc, how do you charge your cases? how fast?

I WANT a a&d 120i with an auto trickler, but thats out of the budget at $900 https://ce-products.myshopify.com/c...fx-120i-scale-autotrickler-v2-autothrow-combo

Anyone using a chargemaster 1500? how fast and how are your SD's/ES?

I saw a video posted where a guy uses a gempro 250 (.02grain resolution), a playing card a tweezers. I might try that but I don't want to buy twice (if I upgrade to an a&d or chargemaster later)
I want to reduce the time I spend loading but don't want to sacrifice consistency and HATE fighting equipment which is why I have a beam scale

If you want fast and accurate get the A&D. I use a Gempro 250 and load 100 rounds in 1 - 11/2 hours with decent SD, so very similar to you and your speed. From what I have been told there is no comparison between the A&D and the Chargemaster, this coming from A&D owners. You pay for it on the front end though.

I have a couple chargemasters and they will keep up with me but I don’t like their auto zero “feature”, just don’t like things changing without me knowing.

I can get better repeatability out of my homemade auto trickler. Much more sensitive.

If you have a beam scale and a trickler already you can throw one together for under $30.

You don’t need to be an electrical engineer to wire it either, pretty simple.
