I thought one of these would be handy. I had a pouch years ago but like a lot of things around here it's disappeared. I imagine it's still around somewhere but stuck back in something never to see the light of day again.

I decided to get a new one. All I could find searching the internet was a red plastic box from MTM that holds one box of 22 LR and I wanted something a little larger. I looked and looked with no results and finally decided to look into a fanny pack if such a thing was still available. I used to use one to hold some flies when I was fly fishing but it's probably keeping the old 22 belt pouch company. Anyway I found plenty of fanny/waist packs and that's where the trouble began. I couldn't make up my mind between red, orange, green, or blue, Then I found one with sequins, and another with mixed day-glo colors. Then I ran across some with flowers and multi-colored designs and finally just gave up because I couldn't make up my mind. I mean, let's see here. This sequined one is pretty and that day-glo orange one stands out, and oh to hell with it. I gave up and ordered the red plastic MTM box. :D

Uncle Mike's makes them, but dang, you should have scored one of the bedazzled ones. Really stand out on the firing line that way, lol.

Isn't there something made for .22LR called the "Catch.22" .
It is a small carying case for .22 ammo that keeps the ammo ready for loading into a tubular magazine.
I remember wanting to buy one but the local gun dealer hadn't heard of it so he didn't have one.

I use something like this for shooting clays, but bigger, to hold a box or 2 of 12gauge shells. This one would be nice because it could clip onto a belr that you're already wearing, or you could get a dedicated belt for it to use the built in loop instead of the metal hook. I keep my shotshell pouch on a dedicated el cheapo tool belt

If you want something with a lid/flap I would maybe consider a Mosin Nagant cleaning kit pouch, or some other easy to obtain mil-surp pouch. I think the Mosin pouches would easily hold 2 50rnd boxes of .22lr in each pouch.

Years ago I used M1 Carbine mag pouches on my belt, they hold two boxes of 50 rounds nicely. Great for all day in the woods without any undo weight. That was back in high school for me, going on 56 soon.
