I was shooting my newly acquired GPR a while back and found that the set triggers could not be adjusted to a lighter pull than just using the trigger unset. Any one else run across this issue?

Have you thought about contacting Lyman about it?
Maybe they will let you speak to a repair technician who can offer some advice on how to proceed.

Each individual part of the trigger may be able to be purchased.
Here's the schematic of replacement parts.--->>> https://www.lymanproducts.com/great-plains-replacement-parts

Or perhaps you can send them the trigger for repair.

Have you pulled the trigger assembly out and observed/checked the function free of the stock?

After looking at it further, I see a hooked end on the trigger lever that fits over a block on the other lever. This prevents the set feature from working if the adjustment screw is turned in past a certain point. Once that hook is removed the trigger works like it should. Seems to be another lawyer inspired concern for my safety. Problem is it defeats the purpose of having a set trigger.
