Recently acquired a couple hundred .257 Nosler Ballistic tips, which had gotten wet, left in boxes, and are stained almost black. No signs of corrosion, would there be any problems reloading and using these?

I Have bought similar. Shop had a fire with many wet and singed boxes of bullets going for cheap during the fire-sale. I 'burned' them right up, no issues at all. As mentioned by others, maybe give-em a whirl in some form of cleaning machine; But heck, Nosler and others make out pretty good with 'black' rifle bullets. :) Good luck.

Thanks, mine are black from exposure to decomposing cardboard, (possible reaction to acid in paper?), no surface deposits. Deer will never know if bullet was stained.
Have used C.T.'s you show, work great, less fouling.
Thanks, consensus so far is, use 'em.

Lubalox ®Exterior Coating
Reduces fouling, pressure and friction between bullet and bore; provides longer barrel life, easier cleaning and enhanced accuracy.

I think, not the same as the OP bullets. :D

I know, just as the deadliness was magnified 1000 fold when "BLACK TALON" hit the scene with the same coating... I bet these "BLACK STAIN ©" (I'm calling the copyright) .257 bullets will be 100X more effective on game, defy gravity, and shoot sub .00000001 MOA... Well, maybe not: Just the same I'd be happy to sent them on a terminal impact mission, starting them on their journey at a few thousand feet per second.
