New to this caliber, just got a 6.8 upper for my AR15,18" 1 in 11 twist.
Took her out last weekend, shot Hornady and Sellor-Beloit factory loads for starters getting about 2630/2670 fps. from both 110gr. offerings ( Sellor-Beloit were a bit faster).
For my first attempt at reloads I loaded up 5 110gr. Nosler Accubonds with new starline brass, CCI small mag primers and 28.2 gr. of Accurate 2200 powder. Since I had to zero in the scope I was on the fifty yard range but all 5 rounds printed a 1/2" group at 2570 fps, boy was I happy since neither factory rounds made a group that small. :D
Also purchased some Hornady 110gr. Vmax and Sierra 115gr Match king bullets but I haven't reloaded anything with them yet as I just wanted to get my feet wet with this caliber.
So the question is what do the more experienced 6.8 users load up and use?
Primary interest is deer hunting, maybe some hogs one day and target shooting.
Also most of my research advocates the use of magnum primers but I have a boatload of standard primers, is there that much of a difference between the two?

I hope you are using rifle primers.

I'm very surprised the 6.8mm SPC never took hold with the military.

To me it looks like you already have a good load. Good luck.

I would not use standard small rifle primers. With AR systems slam fire is an issue. The CCI #41 are designed to deal with the slam fire issue. On the 68forum, reloaders are also using the CCI #450, small rifle magnum primers. I would research the primer issue before making my final selection. I also am new to the 6.8 (1 yr.) but have used the #41 primer, AA2200 and nosler 110 accubond with good results. Also good results with the Hornady 110 grn BTHP bullet. I have thought about stepping out and using the CCI #450 but for now staying with the CCI #41.

I can't recall the exact charge weight but cci#41s, RL10X and hornady 110gr vmaxs will all go into a ragged hole @ 100 yds if I do my part.

IMO, all the suggestions here have been good. I've been shooting 6.8 since early 2010, and have 6 of them now LOL. I use RE7 for 90 grain, H322 for 110 grain, and AA2200 for 115 &120 grain. CFE BLK is on my list to try next. H322 is one of the more temp stable powders out there. Good luck.

H322 was a powder that came highly recommended but I couldn't find it anywhere, was happy to find a can of AA-2200.
From what I've read H322 delivers top velocity.

From my experience AA2200 gives me a little more velocity and H322 gives me a little better accuracy. YMMV
