Which .454 would you get?

We are GOOD sir, I believe we are on the same page in every respect. Love your custom build, and as you say, it’s personal choice and priorities as to the expense, and we agree on that completely. I would love to have even a Toklat for the few times I’d be fishing in brown bear country. Would rather have your Bowen of course, and I see nothing wrong with spending that kind of money for the reasons you did. I’m just not in a position financially to do so. I think the Toklat is hideous looking, but as a non-custom carry piece for fishing, I think it’s a better choice than the shorter barreled Alaskan or the 7.5” Super Redhawk 454s. Sadly, I will likely have neither versions in the near future. I will wager your Bowen is a dream to shoot!

I use a Simply Rugged sourdough holster with a Chest harness from Diamond D Leather along with some stainless steel snaps that I bought online. It's a hybrid custom set up to be honest.

It is ... and the sights are excellent which helps. I carry a 360gr hardcast handload in that revolver so I feel confident that it will stop a brown or black bear if the need arises ... and hopefully it doesn't.

Nice. I like the Diamond D chest series. Interesting you hybridized it!
