Nice caliber... Very nice indeed. Since the day I got myself a 9.3x62 a few years back, my .375 H&H has remained on the rack...
The 9.3 is trimmer, shorter, lighter, and I've not met a buffalo who could tell the difference.
Swift A-Frame are excellent bullets, Barnes TSX too. If you ever happen to go into big-bad-things land, get yourself a couple of boxes of Federal loaded with Woodleigh Hydro bullets: these are absolutely phenomenal, will go through anything, they track straight, and blow big holes in soft tissues.
Also... Try a peep sight. A ghost ring with a fiber optic front. With that setup you can do accurate shots to 2-300 yards, and once you start carrying a rifle without a scope, you'll be cussing anytime you have to lug around a scoped rifle...
That's what the 6.5x55 got.
Have a VX-1 2-7x33mm that was planning to put on the 9.3.x62.
