I tend to stay away from brand specific forums unless there is something very specific I am looking for, and google will get me there.

As for the P2000.. I own a P2SK w/LEM Is there a specific question you had?

Be careful on the HK forum. I deleted my account there several years ago despite my like for HKs. Several "senior" members like to pick apart anything you say there, even if you make a small mistake or have a typo that you acknowledge, and then when you clarify or defend your stance, they like to belittle you. Some folks are ok, but in my experience a simple question opens the door to people implying or saying outright that you are clearly a noob and know nothing, while they are John Wick like in their skills. It's not that we don't have nitpickers here too, but IMO the HK forum is in many ways the antithesis of THR. They attack people there, not an argument. I'm fairly thick skinned, but I left there because it was not fun at all and just not an environment I cared to be in. It's also hard to learn anything when there's constant noise from phallus craniums. Folks like that are why HK owners have reputation of being conceited asses.

There are plenty of HK owners here on THR. I do not own the P2000 but I do own a P30SK with a LEM trigger. I have handled a P2000 though. It's a chunky little beast, as are most HK hammer fired guns. All three of my HKs are yet to have a malfunction. The light LEM trigger is IMO the best DAO trigger out there for a semiauto. It has a long light take up, and breaks very cleanly.

The factory night sights are very nice and worth the money if night sights are your thing.

1- I agree with the brand specific forum recommendation as many of those really do have lots of folks who seem to get their panties in a twist at the mere hint something could be wrong with their precious. If you can wade through that you can find some very specific and good info but generally are better off at a place like this or TFL etc. HKPRO has some super knowledgeable folks.

2-I don’t want to speak to the LEM as I had one many years ago and didn’t like it. Felt great dry firing hated it live fire. (Something about the reset/hammer movement bugged the crap out of me). LEM is Love it or hate it generally. It’s a good trigger system, nothing wrong with it mechanically it just feels “different”. Many folks LOVE them.

3-I can speak to the HK P2000 in general and think it is a marvelous firearm. I have them in both 9mm and .40 and they are darn near the perfect platform for ME. A hammer fired Glock 19/23 made for folks with human hands if you will.

Here is a post I made MANY moons ago about my LEM P2000

Many years later I went with a DA/SA and it just CLICKED for me hence the following post and my thoughts haven’t changed.

At today’s prices the P2000 is a FANTASTIC do all handgun. It just comes down to the flavor the works for you.

Take care, shoot safe

Love is a strong word... I prefer it over HK's DA/SA variants. That said it does take some getting used to.

I carried a P2000 LEM “on the job” for 8 years and put about 6000 rounds through it. I liked it and would liked to have bought it when I retired. I couldn’t - against policy. I have a USPc LEM that I bought almost 20 years ago. The only trigger avail was what is now called the “heavy” trigger. I still like the gun and will probably have it converted to the “light” option.

Be careful on the HK forum.

Sorry you had a bad experience. There is weapon that works very well for jerks in any forum. You would be surprised how smoothly some threads go with a liberal dose of the ignore button. On another forum, I have to deal with a big mouthed hostile congenital liar. Maxed him out with the ignore button. You got some good feedback from members here that have actively used these handguns. My old USP compact must be an antique.

Call or email Grayguns Inc. (GG) and find out how long it will take to get their Reduced Reset Carry Perfection Package trigger job done to your HK. My friend bought a used P30S that had this trigger work already done to it, and I couldn’t believe how nice the SA/DA v3 trigger was, quantum leap better than my P30 with the same trigger variant, although I always thought mine was at least decent until I compared it to this one.

The tip-off was the hammer was a different color than standard HK, and this is due to the Nickle PTFE plating that GG does to the hammer & other internals to smooth things up. Then the Grayguns service paperwork was stuffed in under the foam in the HK box. Considering that this work costs $359.00 from GG, my friend got a good deal and one heck of a great shooting carry pistol!

I have P2000SK LEM in 9mm. As tarosean said....takes some time to get used to....but for EDC, it's my go-to because the LEM trigger has a great controlled feel to it.
That being said, I also have P2000 sa/da in.40 which I am a bit more accurate with.
