Been thinking of getting me a buck 110, always liked old school pocket knives.

Old school meets hi-tech. Street price about $90. Thinner, lighter, either micarta or G10 handles and S30V steel. I have the classic 110, but for only $30-$35 more like this much better.

They make the smaller 112, street price about $80

And for a quality, inexpensive knife both are available in 420 HC and plastic handles for about $25.

I have had my 110 since 1975 when I was a student working that summer on the Atlanta subway construction. A mining equipment vendor was getting so rich from the equipment we were buying, he gave all of us one of these. 44 years later and still as sharp as ever.

A classic knife. I gifted my brother one of these.

I bought myself one too, but mine lives in a pack. It's much larger than I normally do for EDC.

I actually have a Buck 55 too, which is much closer to my usual carry size. Makes a good understudy to the "old reliable". I consider it one of my nicer knives, so I generally don't carry it either.
